The Ministry of Infrastructure Renewal has put together a “Places To Grow” which covers the entire Golden Horseshoe.
The Niagara Parkway is included in the project although not mentioned. The plan doesn’t even recognize the Niagara Parks Commission.
One of the issues is that This plan speaks of growth and development and also addresses green space. The Marina and surrounding area are caught in the middle. Should the marina be a gateway or a green space.
If the province decides to keep the marina and surrounding area a green space the condo development may not get the go ahead.
